Regular heat stays at the skin surface. Far infrared (FIR) penetrates deeper – into muscles and connective tissue – and dilates blood vessels from within. The body absorbs FIR naturally because it emits the same wavelengths (5–14 µm) itself. The result is deeper muscle relaxation and better circulation without needing high surface temperature. Most people find their level at 35–55 °C.
What's the difference between regular heat and far infrared?
